Hi, my name is Gen. I am an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years experience working with children, families and the services they access. Graduating from La Trobe University in 2012, I have worked in Early Childhood Intervention Services (working in the home and across early childhood settings) as well as both mainstream and specialist school settings. I am registered with AHPRA and Occupational Therapy Australia. I am committed to ongoing learning and providing best practice Occupational Therapy.
I am passionate about supporting children and their support networks in their natural environments whether that be at home, kinder, childcare, school or somewhere else important to them. I love working with families and services to set individualised goals and making a plan together on how to reach them.
It is important to me that the children, families and services I work with feel I am on their team, working together in a strength-based approach. I want to help children recognise their own potential, interests and abilities. I believe that the barriers people encounter do not reflect their worth, potential, or capabilities; rather, they highlight the limitations of systems that did not consider them.
